The Park City Mountain Resort’s closest hotel to the slopes is the Marriot Mountainside. This is a good choice if you are planning to do most of your skiing at Park City. It’s right at the base of the slopes with ski-in/ski-out access and very close to Main Street for après-ski activities later in the evening. The Marriot is also located at the resort’s base village, which has lots of shops, restaurants and even a skating rink.
One of the attractions here is voodoo. If you want to see something about voodoo, make sure that you visit the Rose Hall. Also, do visit the Doctor’s Cave beach, which is a sheltered beach and popular for its beautiful scenery and crystal-clear water. This beach is the best place to learn swimming. Located in the center of the town, is the town square known as Sam Sharpe Square. Here you will be able to visit a jail that used to house runaway slave centuries ago.
Walking down the little halfway which has bright yellow and brown stripped carpet are 2 Queen sized beds with a night stand in the middle. Each bed has 4 pillows, a soft down one, a firm down one, a firm regular pillow, and one to support the neck. Wow, that was a surprise. I almost brought my down pillow and was pleased that I had left it at home. I am always worried that I will leave it at the hotel when I check out. There are 2 comfortable armchairs, a table, a large chest of drawers with the television in the middle. At one side is an individual cup coffee/tea maker. There are lots of lamps.

To get around the area, public transportation is revamped with new buses in Nicosia but still almost all the people living there prefer to drive. Also, you must know that there are no railway stations in Cyprus. If you need to get around the country, you must take a bus, a car or a shared taxi.
The first thing you notice about the hotel lobby is that it is very Smokey. Remember, smoking indoors isn’t a faux pas in Europe, and it take a little time to readjust. There are a couple of computers in the area where you wait for the shuttle, but you must pay for internet. It’s 30 pound per day, if you decide to use it from your room. A bit on the expensive side. And since I run my business through the internet, holiday inn Brent Cross really had me by the short hairs.
The rooms are decked out in Italian charm. Each room offers the Serta sleeper mattress, cable television, wi-fi internet access, ceiling fans and room service. The hotel offers 1 queen bed, or 2 double bed bedrooms as well as 12 different two room suites. Room rates during the All-Star game start at 9 per night.
Beware the minibar! It is extremely expensive, regardless of what you take from it. Don’t even open it– You get charged once you remove an item from the slot it was in, even if you don’t consume it. There are vending machines right down the hall, plus the restaurant on the first floor and 24-hour room service.
