Cocoa Beach Florida, Where Thankfully, Life Is Still A Beach

The downside with this hotel and where our room is located is the courtesy shuttle for Disney. The buses drive below us to pick up at 7.35 a.m. each morning. So around 7.20 you hear them and their brakes are so loud and they keep the engines running. The first night we went to bed around 11.00 p.m. only to hear the return of the buses after we were in bed.

Holly Jolly Christmas: A Burl Ives classic that embodies all the good that Christmas should be. A happy song that all but insists you sing along with Burl. Full of good feeling and Christmas cheer. Even the Scroogiest among us will find himself tapping his foot and singing “Oh by golly have, have a holly-jolly Christmas this year.” Try as you might, you just cannot help yourself.

The Ross Castle – This is the Great castle that a Killarney visitor should not miss. The castle is stunningly viewable at the shores of Lough Lein. The castle was said to be one of the highlights in Killarney. There is no entrance fee with the Ireland Heritage pass presented. This is an artifact from the 15th century and fantastically beautiful.

In the spring, the place is crawling with surfers, as the Cocoa Beach Pier sponsors the annual Easter Surfing Festival. The pier also sponsors a warm weather concert series that recently offered the Beach Boys as headliners. The summer brings with it bikini contests, some super skimpy, but from what i can glean, no thongs. In January there’s the battle of the professional surfers, going for ,000 in contest money. Spectators can bring a picnic lunch, spread out on the beach, and watch this death defying competition.
