El Jem International Symphonic Festival
Date- From July to August
Venue- El Jem Colosseum, El Jem, Tunisia

You have the opportunity of enjoying the best of the classical works in the well-preserved Roman coliseum. El Jem Colosseumis lit with candle creates a romantic ambience. Annually, every year the coliseum becomes a major venue attracting music lovers. The building will require you  to get a cushion along with you as resting on the hard stone block would not be comfortable while enjoying music.

El Jem is located 210 Km south-east of Tunis and 60 Km south and north of Sousse and Sfax, respectively.


Carthage October Music Fest
Date- October
Venue- St. Louis Cathedral, Carthage, Tunisia

You can enjoy three-week performance of classical music at St. Louis Cathedral in Carthage. The year 2007 celebrated the 250th anniversary of JohannSebastian Bach’s death. The anniversary was commemorated with the performance of his works by the orchestra group, the Tunis Chamber Orchestra. There were also group performances from Egypt, Poland, Austria, Switzerland and the US. There was also a piano concert which was influenced by the life of castrato Farinelli.

International Festival of the Oasis
Date- November to December
Venue- Tozeur, Tunisia

Being famous as a tourist’s destination, Tunisia is a home to several big festivals. Out of these, International Festival of the Oasis is well-known among all and celebrated with great pomp and show.

Hosted on a great location of Tozeur, International festival of the Oasis is an annual festival that’s starts every year in the month of November and celebrated till the month of December. The festival boasts camel racing, storytelling, traditional dance and music performances and other folkloric events. Apart from these numerous events, the festival also contains activities like whip cracking, knife throwing, snake charming, horse races as well as camel fighting.

But the most important and exciting sport of this conventional Bedouin desert event is the popular camel racing. Not just only the swiftness of camel, racing all across the rising and falling dunes of this desert is one of the most amusing scene of the camel racing.

While enjoying International Festival of the Oasis in the town, the people can also entertain themselves in the small white colored stalls of foods and drinks. And also, visitors can also enjoy the dance and music in these points. Mostly the festival is attended by the tourists but a large number of locals also take interest in it.

International Festival of Testour
Date- July
Venue- Testour, Tunisia

The Festival of Arab Traditional Music, International Festival of Testour was started in May 1966, under the name of “culture days of apricot – licking”. Begin at the month in July, this festival runs for 5 days and aims to promote, protect and improve the Andalusian and Arab music.

The Testour International Festival mainly includes musical evenings, competitions and conferences hosting various groups from the different parts of the region. The main aspire of this festival is to celebrates the Malouf which is also known as the Andalusian Arab music. Being originated from Tunisia and other parts of North Africa, Malouf music is popular since 15th century and being played by small orchestras, consisting of violins, drums, sitars and flutes.

During this big five day festival, visitors and locals in a large number visit this event and see performances, workshops, exhibitions and conferences based on the themes of history, culture, entertainment and music. Not just only these, the festivals provides special preference to the young troops and encourage young talent by organizing several competitions also.
