From normal driver uniform to traditional costumes and from local pottery to luxurious items used by bourgeoisie, a visit to this Tunisian museum is worthy. Apart from exhibition rooms, there is a traditional open hearth for cooking, a library and a Turkish bath.
Along with its main exhibit items, Museum Dar Cherait also displays fine stocks of contemporary paintings dedicated to poet Abou el Kacem Chebbi and of imported glass. Being a private museum, the entrance fee (3 Dinars plus 1.5 Dinars extra for camera permit) is little bit more than other museums.
