A shelter-home to animals, Friguia Park is an animal park located halfway between Hammamet and Sousse. This park is the first ever of its kind in North Africa and was established in the year 2000. Consist of nearly 412 creatures, this private animal park has 62 species with some of the rare kind of animals.
Covering 36 hectares area, the park is nestled beautifully in the forest area with clean, clear and calm environment. Preserving various endangered species including Tiger, Lion, Cheetah, Baboon of Guinea, Elephant, Fallow deer, Stork and Girafe, each animal lives here in the natural environment.
In addition to these, Friguia Park Hammamet is well known as a tourist point. Every year large number of tourists visits this park to see the endangered species. For the convenience of visitors, the park also has a plethora of restaurants, rest areas, kiosks, souvenir shops and retail outlets. Out of all these, one of the famous, the Shaka restaurant is also situated there with a quality Tunisian dinner and beverages.
Ideal place for family tours, Friguia Park in Hammamet also offers special rides on Camels or Donkeys for children. The park is opened every day from 9am to 4 pm, except on Mondays and also there are separate entry tickets for adults and children.
